Arup projects include the mixed-use commercial development, Tianjin Kerry Centre, on which the firm developed a holistic fire safety strategy, as well as the structural design. The firm also worked as the structural and geotechnical engineering consultant for Tianjin Hang Lung Plaza, a 153,000m² multi-storey shopping mall, located in the most prominent commercial area in Tianjin.
Other projects include Goldin Finance 117, a 117-storey (approximately 600 m high) office and hotel tower designed to be the tallest development in the city.
Arup also devised a development strategy for the proposed eco-city Wanzhuang, which will lie halfway between Tianjin and Beijing and is planned to accommodate around 350,000 residents by 2025.
