What information do we collect?

As we are a global company, with offices spread across the world, we may need to share your personal information with our group companies in different countries. This means that whatever country you access Arup.com from, or engage us to provide services in (if different), we handle your personal information in line with that country’s data protection requirements.

Please note that we may charge a small £10 administration fee for information requests.

If you think any information we have about you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible. We will correct or update any information as soon as we can.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect, including locked cabinets, electronic password protection and pass card access to buildings.

Our website or marketing email messages sometimes include links to other websites which are not within our control. Personal information is any information which is obtained about a person whose identity is obvious or can be determined from the information.

Personal information collection

Arup Pty Ltd only collects personal information in the course of carrying out services for its clients and from individuals or their authorized representatives in connection with its usual operations as a professional services company in Australia.

b. for the purposes of performing our Services for clients and only when it is necessary for or directly related to such purposes; or

c. It is required or authorised by law, or
d. It will prevent or lessen a serious imminent threat to somebody’s life or health.

Arup does not sell its marketing email lists to third parties.

Data security

We take reasonable precautions to protect the personal information we hold against loss, misuse, unauthorised use, theft, modification or improper disclosure. Information shared within the Arup group of companies is held on a basis consistent with this policy.

Your choices

If you are listed in one of our marketing or network distribution lists you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe function in our emails or by contacting Arup at Australasia.communications@arup.com.

You can also use the above address to contact us about any privacy matter including access to the personal information we hold about you, updating or correcting the information held, or if you consider we have breached this policy and not respected your privacy.

Any correspondence or complaint will be addressed promptly.

Notice – fraudulent use of Arup name

We are asking suppliers and partners around the globe to be alert to fraudulent activities such as invoice or “purchase order” fraud.

Criminals have used the Arup name to secure goods from unsuspecting companies who believe they are dealing with us.

Always double-check the identity of people making enquiries using the Arup name and if you have any doubts please contact london@arup.com.

If you believe you have been the victim of fraud you should contact your local law enforcement agency immediately.
