Cargiant and its development partner, London & Regional Properties, have appointed a team including PLP/Architecture and Arup to help them bring forward development proposals for Old Oak Park.

The 47 acre site in Old Oak Common, London, houses the world’s largest car dealership, Cargiant. The development of Old Oak Park is seen as a key step to unlocking the potential of Old Oak Common which Cargiant and London & Regional Properties are helping to realise.

Arup will provide infrastructure and engineering services as a part of the world-class project team led by PLP/Architecture, which has been tasked to lead the Masterplanning and design of the site.

As a part of the London Mayor’s vision for Old Oak Common, the team will take the heavily industrial site and develop a vibrant district complete with new homes, schools, pivotal transport links and forward-thinking parks and open spaces.

I’m delighted we have appointed our full masterplanning team and to have such expert partners working with us. As a major landowner and one of the most successful local businesses in the area, we are an important part of the community and best placed to understand what is right for the site.

We are committed to delivering a scheme of exceptional quality, which brings real benefit for local people. We want this to be a part of London we would all be proud to live in and visit.

There is already great momentum behind the project and we look forward to talking to local communities in the coming months so that those who already live and work around Old Oak Common directly help to shape its future.Tony Mendes, Managing Director, Cargiant

"Old Oak Park will be at the heart of realising the Mayor of London's aspirations for the Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area. Arup is delighted to be a member of the team helping Cargiant and London & Regional to create a new part of London which will also forge new connections between existing communities."Mark Bidgood, Director, Arup
