Developed by Arup and Argos Analytics, WeatherShift™ version 2.0 now includes future weather data capabilities for 255 global cities.

Arup and Argos Analytics, LLC, have released an enhanced version of the WeatherShift™ Weather File Module that expands the list of cities for which projected future weather data can be generated from the initial 50 cities to 255 cities worldwide. An essential resource for designing and planning sustainable buildings and infrastructure, the original version was released on 12 May 2014.

"We are excited to extend the availability of WeatherShift™ future weather data to a much larger number of major and rapidly growing cities around the world. We have already used it successfully on a number of client projects and this will allow even more cities and building owners to benefit."Cole Roberts, Associate Principal at Arup.

Version 2.0 of the WeatherShift™ Weather File Module includes pre-loaded base year weather files for 131 cities freely available in the public domain, making their availability to the user virtually instantaneous. Users can also upload their own base year weather files for any of the 255 cities.

WeatherShift™ v2.0 also incorporates other enhancements, including an increase in the number of global climate models used to adjust the weather data from 6 to 14. It also provides data for three future time periods, rather than the two in the initial release. Users can access the Weather File Module at www.weather-shift.com.
