As an acoustic designer for over 20 years, Arup has given me the opportunity to work outside of Australia on long term assignments to the US and UK, collaborating with multinational teams on a range of world-class projects.

Highlights over the last decade or so include the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Headquarters in Seattle, the Beijing National Aquatics Center (better known as the Water Cube) and the Barangaroo International Commercial Towers in Sydney.

Outside consulting, I am the inventor of an award-winning acoustic product for naturally ventilated buildings, hold 3 international patents, won the Australian Acoustical Society Excellence in Acoustics Award, and I maintain a strong relationship with academia — which gives me a chance to pay back to the field as well as get exposure to and contribute to the latest research.

With regards to my role within Ventures and Digital Products, I bring my experience as an entrepreneur who has taken products through the whole lifecycle — from validating the problem and conceiving the solution through commercial and financial modelling, pricing and royalty strategies to developing delivery channels.
