Elzbieta Cichonska is a Director at Arup, where she leads the development of our operations in Poland and Serbia. She has over 25 years of experience across the built environment ranging from research and marketing to project negotiations and contract management.

Elzbieta has worked across all stages of the construction process, from project negotiations and procurement, through project management and cost control all the way to final evaluation, and has led a range of large-scale projects for public and private clients in Poland and Romania.

Given her in-depth knowledge of EU procurement procedures and FIDIC and EU contract conditions, she has worked on numerous framework contracts during Poland’s accession to the union.

Previous roles at Arup include leading our Advisory Services offering in Europe, and she is also a former a member of Europe Region Board.

Before joining Arup, Elzbieta headed marketing and sales at a leading Polish formwork producer.

In 2003, she completed a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Economics at Carlson School of Management at University of Minnesota, her primary degree is in Engineering.
