Nille Juul-Sørensen has been Arup’s Global Architecture Leader since 2014.
During his career at Arup, Nille has applied his holistic, user-focused approach to a range of architectural projects across the world, including leading the team behind the design of the 17 new underground stations that form Copenhagen’s new Cityringen line.
In 2003, Nille was awarded the Eckersberg Medal by the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts for his work on Copenhagen Metro, while his lighting work was recognized the following year with the Nordisk Lyspris Design Award. His work on the Malmö Citytunneln Triangeln station subsequently won the Kasper Salin Prize in 2011.
A former CEO of the Danish Design Centre, Nille holds a Master of Architecture from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and is currently the deputy Chair of the Aarhus School of Architecture.
