COP16, the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is the first Biodiversity COP since the adoption of the Global Biodiversity Framework, known as The Biodiversity Plan, in Montreal in December 2022. As a result, it has been dubbed the ‘implementation’ COP as representatives from governments, NGOs, civil society, local communities, business, and finance come together to assess progress against The Biodiversity Plan. As well as pushing the nature agenda on, a key focus is also increasing the delivery and alignment of government National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs).

Arup members from our Colombia, Peru, and London offices will attending both the Blue and Green Zones during the convention, if you would like to connect, you can find details below.

We have lots of activities in the run to COP16 as well as attending events at the convention and running a post-COP16 reflections webinar.

We will be constantly updating this page as the events unfolds.
