Our Graduate Development Programme runs in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. Our programme blends hands-on experience with technical knowledge, giving you the opportunity to learn while creating city-shaping projects. During the programme, you will have access to:

Eligibility

To be eligible for the graduate development programme, candidates:

  • Must be in the final year of their degree or will have completed a relevant degree before the programme commences.
  • Must not have more than 12 months of experience in a graduate or equivalent role.  
  • Meet the work rights criteria in the country of application. 

Work rights criteria

  • Australia: Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, Graduate Visa, or Visa with unrestricted working rights in Australia.

  • New Zealand: New Zealand Citizen, New Zealand Permanent Resident or Visa with unrestricted working rights in New Zealand.

  • Singapore: Singaporean Citizen, Singaporean Permanent Resident, Student Pass, Employment Pass or Work Pass.

  • Indonesia: Indonesian Citizen or Indonesian Permanent Resident

  • Malaysia: Malaysian Citizen and Malaysian Permanent Resident

Application process

Applying for a graduate role

    Online application

    You will need to submit an online application during our recruitment period. We will ask you to share some of your details, including a copy of your resume and most recent academic transcript. In this application, you will be invited to select your top preferences from our available roles.

  2. 2

    Initial selection

    You’ll be assessed against various criteria to determine your suitability and eligibility to the programme. We will review your area of study, interests and prior experience (both academic and professional). We also look to assess your cultural fit and understand your teamwork and communication skills.

  3. 3

    Interviews

    Held in person at your local Arup office or online, selected candidates will meet with professionals from their selected discipline. This will provide us with the opportunity to get to know one another better.

  4. 4

    Offer

    Successful candidates will receive a verbal offer, followed by a written letter of offer sent via email.

  5. 5

    Acceptance

    Accepted offers of employment will be signed and returned to us, allowing us to commence the onboarding process and get ready to welcome our new graduates.
