Fiona Cousins is Chief Operating Officer Total Design, with global responsibility for services, sustainable development, quality, collaboration, skills, innovation and products and technology. Fiona is also an executive director and member of Arup Group Limited Board.

Prior to taking up her current post, Fiona was Chair of the Americas Region. She is an Arup Fellow and the current president of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). Fiona started her career at Arup in 1985, first joining as a pre-graduate trainee. Since then, she has developed market-leading technical expertise across mechanical engineering design, energy modelling, and sustainability consulting. She has led multiple complex building projects, including The Bloomberg Centre in New York and the Frick Chemistry Building in PrincetonFiona has a deep interest in growing the firm’s capabilities in pursuit of delivering safe, inclusive and resilient infrastructure and communities.
