Jeremy Stain is the Director of Nuclear at Arup, based in the Manchester office. With 25 years’ experience working across the energy sector, he is committed to helping clients decarbonise their energy systems through the design, facilitation and implementation of sustainable nuclear solutions. 

Jeremy started his journey in nuclear as a graduate at British Energy and has held influential positions at some of the world’s leading engineering firms, including Atkins and Arcadis before joining Arup. He leads Arup’s nuclear business, a group of almost 400 engineers, scientists and consultants, spanning all parts of the civil nuclear industry, from fusion research and development, to decommissioning and waste management. He personally specialises in the nuclear new-build market where he has supported technology developers, project developers, Government and investor clients with services ranging from design management to policy development and M&A due diligence.
