Arup has been working in East Africa since the 1950s. We opened a permanent office in Nairobi in 2012 as a base for working across the region, primarily Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. Our projects demonstrate our commitment to sustainable development as we seek to decarbonise Africa's growing built environment, enhance city liveability, and support green and equitable economic development across the continent.
Our team in Nairobi combines our local knowledge and contextual understanding with Arup’s global expertise to provide design and advisory services related to sustainable infrastructure, lower carbon transport and buildings, healthcare advisory, and urban transformation.
