Mark is our Global Facilities Management Leader. Mark has worked in the aftercare of ‘buildings’ for over 30 years and has experience of a wide and diverse range of projects covering challenges around maintaining, operating and running commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and specialist facilities such as tall structures, underground complexes, nuclear facilities the rail infrastructure network and factories.

Mark comes from an operational background having served his time within the engineering trade and also has the technical and professional qualifications and experience that aligns with many of the designers within Arup. This enables Mark to understand both the technical and operational aspects around Facilities Management.  Mark is a Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE and provides technical support on a wide range of complex technical issues including expert witness work.

Mark is Discipline Lead for the Facilities Management consultancy service within Arup and leads a specialist team of engineers that work within the UKIMEA region and more widely to support Arup projects and other clients globally. He is keen to promote integrated operational design such that Operations and Facility Management are considered throughout the design process.
