Ricky Tsui

- East Asia Product Design Leader
Ricky is the East Asia Ventures Lead, helping the region to develop and commercialize both physical and digital products. He is also the East Asia Arup University Director.
He holds a B. Sc. degree in industrial engineering from the University of Hong Kong and a Ph.D. degree in materials science from the University of Cambridge. His career spans thirty years in high technology research, product and process development, management and marketing. He worked in a semi-government organization for many years as a senior consultant and had numerous successful cases to provide innovative process re-engineering solutions to the manufacturing industry. Industries and technologies that he involved include jewellery, watch, vacuum technology, surface finishing, waste-water treatment, materials processing (such as die-casting, powder injection moulding, thixo-casting), PCB, biomedical, materials testing, construction, metal processing, nanotechnology, etc. He won several renowned awards on machinery and process design.
He is also the Board Director of a spin-off company, Neuron Group Ltd, in providing smart building operation digital platform.
