Simon is the Global Digital Energy Leader and the Global Digital Twin Leader at Arup, Trustee and Vice President of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and Board Member and Chair of the Gemini Call for Digital Twin Hub.

As both a technology developer and a chartered mechanical engineer, with a background in renewables and offshore oil and gas, Simon is an industry and board advisor for digital energy and digital twins, and has a passion for their transformational applications - speaking and publishing extensively on the topics. 

At Arup, Simon has led the delivery of various projects crucial to the digitalisation of the energy system in the UK, and development of connected digital twins. This includes the Virtual Energy System, Digital Spine Feasibility Study, Flexibility Markets Unlocked, and the Gemini Papers.
