Simon Tsang is the Leader of Chemical and Process Engineering Team of Arup Hong Kong, East Asia Chemical and Process Engineering Skills, and Technical Services Leader.

He has vast knowledge and extensive experience in planning, design, management for variety of water and waste management multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in the East Asia Region and UK.  

Simon is a recognised process expert within the local water and resources communities with strong established relationships with public and private sectors. He was the leader of a number of major projects in Hong Kong such as Ngau Tam Mei Works Treatment Works Extension, HATS 2A, first organic waste treatment facilities, namely O-Park 1 and subsequent on O-Park2 of which has gained Gold Award of Green Building Award 2023) (GBA 2023).  

Simon has significantly grown and raised Arup’s profile of niche chemical and process engineering expertise across the region and recently has expended to a wider chemical and process industries such as process safety and renewable energy such as energy/ resources from waste. Simon possesses a great interest in decarbonisation of water and waste assets. His key focus is to spearhead our unique chemical and process engineering services for both internal and external clients to meet the challenges of climate change that are tackled by responsible actions and sustainable solutions.
