Tom Kennedy is a Principal and Americas Aviation Leader in Arup’s New York office. 

He has three decades of global experience in a wide range of civil engineering and site development projects. His multidisciplinary approach to managing aviation projects pulls from his long list of experience ranging from landside and airside and everything in between.

Tom has led some of the largest and most challenging aviation projects that fall under the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's jurisdiction. He has experience with both airside civil engineering and utilities work at airports, as well as landside and approach roadways work. He served as the Design Manager for the new JetBlue Terminal 5 at JFK and was engaged on the project from the initial planning work through commissioning to the opening and aided the facilities team in becoming accustomed to the new building. Tom currently also serves as Arup’s East Geography Aviation Business Leader
