In 1979 Arup was engaged as structural engineers, together with a full building professional team, to report on the options and limitations for the redevelopment of the Hong Kong Bank's HQ.

Arup worked on various aspects of the HQ's redevelopment including the structure, substructure and provided project management expertise. In this special issue of the Arup Journal we explore various aspects of the work behind this building and hear from a range of experts.
