While it is early days in the mining industry’s transition to more sustainable practices, many have made clear decarbonisation commitments that they will need help to achieve in practice.

We recognise that resources are critical to humanity, and as we decarbonise and increase wealth across our planet, we will be increasingly commodity intensive. Therefore, it is also critical that resources are extracted, produced and consumed in a sustainable manner. Globally, the mining and metals industry are directly responsible for approximately 4-7% of global GHG emission, while indirectly they are responsible for significantly more.
