Our global experience in sludge management ranges from working on advanced wastewater treatment plants to humanitarian contexts. We have planning and design expertise for the full sludge chain from production, nutrient recovery, storage, and treatment, to disposal and reuse. Our work includes design of sludge treatment facilities and also in the efficient planning of the whole operational system.
Arup’s water team helps clients to define their strategy, finance it, design and procure the right assets, and optimise them and close the loop. Our expertise spans the full spectrum, and is delivered across the world to suit different needs, circumstances and priorities but with same aim of making a valuable by-product from municipal and industrial wastewater management. Ultimately, our aim is to deliver a sustainable solution that promotes circularity and fully extracts the sludge’s value.
